Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the VP Player mobile application (“App”), developed and published by Apploomic (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, or using VP Player, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
VP Player is a media playback and file management app that lets you play, organize, and manage video, audio, and other files stored on your device, stream YouTube videos within the app, and optionally lock personal files using a PIN. You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
2. Local File Access
VP Player uses device storage permissions to view, play, rename, move, and delete media files stored locally on your device. All file actions are user-initiated and processed entirely on your device — we do not upload, store, or transmit your media files to any external server.
3. File Lock (PIN) Feature
The App includes an optional file lock feature that lets you protect specific videos with a personal PIN. This PIN is created and stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to, collect, or store your PIN or any locked file data. You are solely responsible for remembering your PIN — we cannot recover or reset it on your behalf, as we have no access to it.
4. YouTube Video Streaming
VP Player uses the YouTube Player API to let you stream YouTube videos within the App. Your use of this feature is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. We do not control, host, or take responsibility for content streamed from YouTube.
5. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services to support core functionality:
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — for app performance monitoring and crash diagnostics
- OneSignal — for push notifications
- YouTube Player API — for in-app YouTube streaming
Your use of the App constitutes acceptance of these providers’ respective terms and privacy policies. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on what data these services collect.
6. Permissions
To function properly, the App may request permissions including storage access, network connectivity, audio settings, phone state (to pause playback during calls), Bluetooth (for wireless audio devices), notifications, and — with your explicit consent — location and microphone access. You may manage or revoke these permissions anytime through your device settings; doing so may limit certain App features.
7. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the files, content, and media you access, play, or manage through the App. You agree not to use the App to access, store, or distribute any content that infringes copyright, violates applicable law, or infringes the rights of others.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, branding, and underlying code, is the property of Apploomic and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure operation of the App, including features that depend on third-party services (Firebase, OneSignal, YouTube).
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apploomic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data, loss of locked files due to a forgotten PIN, or interruptions to third-party services integrated into the App.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Significant changes may be communicated via an in-app notification.
